[/caption]On Sunday August 23, 2009, Pittsburgh DancExplosion Ensemble Dancers participated in the 2009 Kumite Classic. Taking place at the Hilton, the Kumite Classic was a Pittsburgh event to celebrate fitness, wellness, and nutrition. Highlighted performers and special guests included karate champions, body building professionals, dancers, cheerleaders, and Olympic medalists. Pittsburgh DancExplosion was featured on the main stage and according to one audience member, "the best of the weekend!" Participating Performers pictured above included Angie Hedglin, Emma Chammas, Ally Chammas, Alyssa Ferris, Jenna Markovich, and Kelly Gallagher represented by Director Amy Johnston.
