Introducing Amanda Vavra to DEAC Staff

DEAC is proud to welcome Amanda Vavra to our staff as guest teacher & Monday Office Management.

Amanda Vavra is native of Sapulpa, OK where she began training at the Patti Parish School of Dance. While competing she earned many titles including Teen Miss Dance of Oklahoma 2003 and Miss Dance of Oklahoma 2005 for Dance Masters of America Chapter #27. Amanda graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Dance Performance from Point Park University. As a student she had the opportunity to perform works by artists Lori Stallings, Kiki Lucas, and Whitney Moncrief. Amanda is delighted to have danced in workshops for Ann Reinking, as well as the River North Summer Intensive under the direction of Frank Chaves. She made her professional debut as Dream Laurey (Oklahoma!) at Discoveryland!, OK. Amanda has earned teaching honors from National Dance Alliance as both a Top Rookie and Top Veteran Instructor for their summer seasons. Currently, Amanda teaches at several local dance studios, and performs with the Staycee Pearl dance project in Pittsburgh, PA.
