December News....Classroom reminders & Winter Performance Details!

Holiday Break

Holiday break begins Thursday, December 22-Monday, January 2. Classes resume Tuesday, January 3. Have a safe & happy Holiday!!!! Holidays have been considered in regard to tuition calculations. Questions....please ask Amy!

Class Reminders

Our dancers are growing & developing so quickly! What a great start to the year! Just some reminders to keep our classes running smoothly & properly:

1. Please make sure your child arrives for class on time, 2. Students in Tumbling class should wear leotards & footless tights, no bare legs. 3. Hair must be secured back in ponytails or buns for all classes including hip hop, tumbling, & regular dance classes. 4. Please make sure hip hop students wear SNEAKERS that have white or tan bottoms. No black bottom shoes or shoes that are worn outside. If you enter the studio, please make sure you take off your shoes. 5. Students in ballet classes must wear BALLET shoes.

Winter Performance 2012

TICKETS are first come/first serve & go on sale 1/3/2011.

$10 per ticket

Children (2 yrs & under) that sit on laps Do NOT need a ticket.

(No seats can be used unless a ticket is purchased)

Doors Open to theater at 1:30 & Dancers arrive at 1:15.

Showtime: 2:00 P.M.

Below is the list of participating classes & “do-it yourself” Costuming!

Please remember that leotards (of any color) & tights should be worn under ALL costumes!!!!
Please do not buy anything, find something from your closet that is acceptable. Winter performance is a fundraiser for our costuming, accessories, socks, & hair bows for recital. (talk to Amy, Renee, or Ellen if you have questions on costuming)


Intro to Dance (Monday)-Party dresses, Ballet shoes

Level 2 Tap – (10 & Up)- Sparkly black shorts & black leotard

Intro to Dance (Tuesday)-PJ’s, teddy bears, & tap shoes

Level 3 Jazz (13 & Up)—Black bootie shorts, tan tights & a cute shirt (color to be discussed)

Intro to Dance (Saturday)—Bathing suits & summer cover-ups (Think Under the Sea & beach wear)

Junior & Teen Modern—Earthy colored Leotards, bootie shorts etc, tan tights (additional material to be supplied by DEAC)

Kinder I (Monday)—Colorful capris & polka dots (ballet shoes)---Isaiah can wear shorts.

Teen Dance Rotation—Black capri pants & tank tops (color to be discussed in class)

Kinder I (Tuesday)—Tights, Leotard, & matching skirt (ballet skirt or regular skirt, sparkles are welcome!)

Teen Hip Hop (Tuesday)—jeans & flannel style shirts, sneakers

Kinder II (Thursday) Primary colors, black shorts/pants/capris, striped socks in primary colors (tap shoes)

Lyrical 2—Sundresses, tan tights

Petite Hip Hop- Bright colored Track suits & sneakers

Int/Advanced Hip Hop—Black cargo pants, shirts to be discussed in class

Junior Hip Hop—Tshirts (assigned color by Mike) & Jeans with accessories such as hats, scarves, etc

Petites Jazz—Pink & Black anything (shirts, shorts, leotards, etc….)---opposite of eachother

Int/Adv. Tumbling—Black & Silver, any sparkles! (bootie shorts, leotards, Capri pants, accessories)

Level I Ballet & Jazz—Any outfit inspired by the Material Girl Madonna (capris, lacey layer skirts, ruffle tops, gloves, etc colors in the black, pink, purple family)

Sr. Company—TO BE DISCUSSED “How Come You Don’t Call”
