Costume Deposit Information

We have begun planning the annual student Production entitled “Drifting Pictures & Art in Motion” scheduled for the weekend of June 16 & 17 at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center. Costume selection for the dance studio begins now & orders are placed in the beginning of December to ensure that we receive them in time for picture day (4/18 & 4/19).

Participation in the annual production is optional but highly suggested & exciting. The entire years work & improvements for every student is highlighted to share with our families and friends.

Costume Deposit #1 is due to the studio no later than October 30.

There are no refunds on costume deposits after December 1st.

Costumes will only be ordered for students whom have paid the necessary deposit and do not have delinquent tuition accounts.

Please return the bottom form along with your deposit.

***Intro to Dance, Kinderdance I & II, & Petite Dance will require only 1 costume: $40 deposit

***Each Level 1,2, & 3 class must provide a $40 deposit per costume/per class.

***Company students must place $150 deposit for all technique classes**

In times of economic instability, DEAC will try vigorously to keep costume costs low for our families that participate in multiple disciplines; this will be reflected in the final costume payment in January. Costumes range between $45-$75 each depending on level, class, & whether the costume is able to be used for multiple classes.

Please detach & return to Office with Costume Payment. Please list each child individually.

Renee Smith Cast In The Pearl Fishers

DEAC instructor, Renee Smith, has received the opportunity to perform with the prestigious Pittsburgh Opera yet again this year. She has been given the opportunity to work with San Diego choreographer, John Malashock, in The Pearl Fishers. Due to this exciting opportunity, she will be out of the studio October 24th, 26th, 31st and November 9th. This allows DEAC to bring in several guest artists to ensure that our students are receiving training from a variety of the city’s top notch dance educators. Our guest teaching artist’s bios will be displayed on the DEAC news board upon each artists arrival.
